Truvie's New Catchphrase

Truvie likes to make up catchphrases from time to time for the amusement of herself and others, mostly herself. I would like to unveil my newest favorite, although Truvie is distraught that she cannot take credit for coining it. Normally, Truvie rejects all things that she personally doesn't dream up, but I will be saying this alot in the coming weeks, so best to be in the know, lest you fall into the unattractive category of "PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW"! Ah, yes! Why do I love it so much, you ask? I don't know. It's very versatile, it's snooty, you can whisper it to a friend and smile pityingly at the unfortunate who has earned the title. "PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW" are bumbling about, thinking that they are proper and classy and acting in a dignified manner, when, alas they certainly are NOT. Try it out! It's very Junior League!

Hmmm... here's a short list of Truvie-isms in case you're interested. If you aren't interested, then you clearly are a PERSON WHO DOESN'T KNOW!

Taco Box- The highest level of anger that you can feel without murdering someone (see blog below). Generally, outbursts of this magnitude cause embarrassment later on. It's mostly used as a verb, but can be an adjective. Example: Do you children WANT me to go TACO BOX?!?

Bitchcakes- This is just one step below Taco Box. Actually, I must give credit where credit is due: Truvie AND her sister thought this phrase up. But it was mostly Truvie. Whereas Taco Box is usually reserved for family and close friends, bitchcakes is more for random strangers. It is also an adjective or verb. Example: I went bitchcakes on that girl who spilled my drink!

Eleventy-seven- It just means alot. Example: I've been in this car for eleventy-seven hours!

Choo-choo- This comes from the saying "A fast train to nowhere." It's a warning of sorts, deliver it with lots of self-righteous judgement! It means you're doing something that's going to lead you into T-R-O-U-B-L-E! Example: Quit draping yourself over Lulu's husband! Choo, choo! (It's also amusing to pull an imaginary train whistle while you say it!)

Fasley- This means you look the best you've ever looked! Example: Oh, honey, you look simply fasley!

The Bosom- This means your family, as in "The Bosom of the Family". Usually said in combanation with eye rolling and sighing. One of the few nouns. Example: I can't come to Dabney's party this weekend. We have to go to the Bosom.

The Barn- This is short for "the Barnacle". It means a person who just clings onto you and won't let go. A noun. Example: I want to have drinks with you on Saturday, but I'll have to bring the Barn.

"HAPPY FASSHER'S DAY"- This means, "Whee! I'm really drunk!" It comes from a very funny incident involving Truvie and one of Truvie's nearest and dearest leaping off their jet ski and hugging Big Jim (Truvie's Daddy) in wet bikinis while happily shouting this greeting on the public dock of Casino Magic. On Father's Day, of course. Wasn't Daddy proud of Baby Peaches (Truvie's nickname)! Example: (2am phone call) Hey! I love you guys soo much... Happy Fassher's Day!!!
